Great Motor, but the pump design will not last a year

I bought this a month ago from Costco here in Canada. The machine worked flawlessly till yesterday, it's actually the pump manifold.
The water in-let fitting(where you connect your garden hose), the part that is screwed into the pump manifold is made out of plastic and it's in metric 18mm but the female hose fitting is in imperial.
The whole pump is made out of die-cast metal. I tried to find fittings to resolve this issue, I could not find this or similar fitting anywhere.
Eventually returned it to Costco.

Packaging problems with factory reconditioned Karcher G3050

Unit arrived damaged in box since packaging material wasn't installed or improperly installed, and wheeled component was allowed to flop around in single-walled cardboard box. Flywheel shroud fractured during shipping. Since fix was simple, I elected to proceed with warranty claim. Karcher required pressure washer be delivered to authorized repair shop. Karcher then disallowed claim since their parts weren't faulty; it was the Honda flywheel shroud which broke. Honda disallowed claim since damage wasn't due to their design or operation. Ultimately, Amazon ponied up $200 to have unit repaired by authorized dealer, but entire sequence has taken from April 12 (damaged unit delivered to authorized repair shop, until June 21, when parts were received and damaged components replaced. Repair costs within the Amazon refunded amount.

If you elect to purchase this unit and it arrives damaged, ask for refund. Do not go through the frustration of processing a warranty claim.

Broke on second use...I want my money back

I was hoping to get a good deal on this, but now its costing me time and money. on the second use, the water hose adapter stripped right out of the unit. its a cheap plastic adapter that connects your house hose to the machine. well, if you actually move this unit around while you are using it, you'll see that the house hose puts a lot of stress on the threads into the pump. so i really dont know why a German engineer put a plastic threaded piece into a brass housing. the Honda motor is great, but the unit should have been designed better. I had to choose 1 star to get a review written, but that 1 star is generous. i am working with Amazon to send this back.

good for 8 car washes then engine seized

Bought this item as reconditioned from Northern tool. Got the replacement warranty. Good thing that I bought the warranty, manufacturer's warranty is only 30 days. Washed 8 cars over three days with proper oil in it. On the 9th crank, the engine seized. Small engine repair shop said that the shaft was scored and metal was in the oil from the shaft and then the metal went to the piston and ruined the engine. If reconditioned properly, this should not have occurred. Also, Northern Tool's replacement warranty is crap. They had no more like this one to replace it with, so they give you a store credit and "NOT" a refund. They want to sell you a higher dollar washer.

TO BUY THIS IS TO GAMBLE. DO NOT BUY WITHOUT SOME EXTENDED WARRANTY!!!!!!

Great pressure washer

I have owned this over a month now and have used it about 10 times. This factory reconditioned unit looked to be brand new, was shipped quickly and arrived without any damage in shipping. It was easy to assemble and directions were easy to follow. It has started each time by the second short pull of the starter rope. I really like the sturdy frame, pnuematic tires and long spray hose. My previous pressure washer was rated at only 1600 psi. This pressure washer has made easy tasks of things that used to take much longer, including blasting mold off my aggregate concrete front porch. I also end up using less water to do tasks because the spray is more forceful and effective, including for washing vehicles. My old pressure washer had an adjutable engine speed and adjustable nosel. I was not sure that I was going to like this one with preset engine speed and tips that are switched for different applications. It turns out I like this better. I am very pleased.
